Roles & Responsibilities

As a Data Engineer, your core responsibility is to support the Business Intelligence Team in achieving key deliverables and enhancing data-driven decision-making processes. You will collaborate closely with Finance and Sales Teams in a multi-jurisdictional environment, addressing data requests and issues through insightful analysis and efficient data cleaning exercises.

By fulfilling the below mentioned responsibilities and embodying the technical and business skills, you will play a pivotal role in leveraging data to make informed decisions, supporting the team’s objectives, and contributing to the overall success of Ocorian.

Main Responsibilities 

Contribute to the daily execution of key deliverables within the Business Intelligence Team
Collaborate with Operations and Sales Teams to understand and address data requirements and challenges
Carry out data cleansing exercises, which may extend to jurisdictional and regulatory requirements
Assist in the documentation of solutions for efficient knowledge transfer and team alignment
Provide analytical support to the Business Intelligence Team, conducting some exploratory data analysis

Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Technical Skills

Min 8-10 years experience in basic SQL and BI tools, ideally Power BI would be advantageous
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Experience of data cleansing tools and methodologies

Business Skills

Demonstrates good written and verbal communication skills
Exhibits effective interpersonal skills for seamless collaboration in a multi-jurisdictional environment
Highly self-motivated, proactive and attentive to detail
Be a team player, fostering a positive and collaborative working environment
Ambitious to learn and adapt to evolving business and technology landscapes
Ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
Energy and enthusiasm to support the future growth and success of the business
